<description>Thank you! Your magazine looks great! And Calypso is really pretty. Maybe you'll get some snow down in Georgia, too. LOL They're saying we'll get some here in Tennessee this week.

I mentioned in a post a few days ago that there is a story from a guest columnist in this month's AKC Gazette about how a woman taught her English Setter to pull a sled. They have been racing since then. She said he absolutely loves it and he's working on earning his sled dog title. She's taught her other English Setter to do it, too, but they haven't raced yet.

Mushing seems to be something that everyone can do now with their dogs, no matter where they live.

Glad you enjoyed the article. Good luck with everything.

<description>A musher myself, I have seen a HUGE jump in the popularity of sled dog sports over the past couple of years. I think one of the major reasons for this jump is that sled dog sports are now more accessible. Pet owners are realizing that you don't have to live in the Alaskan bush with dozens of huskies to be a musher. The sport can be done with just one or two dogs of practically any large or medium-sized breed. And thanks to bikes, scooters and rigs, snow is no longer a requirement!

Mushing really is a fun way of exercising dogs. The animals absolutely LOVE it and the people do too!

Thanks for posting this great article!
