Attention Foreign Exhibitors and Journalists! Westminster Time!
From David Frei, Westminster Kennel Club, Director of Communications
Foreign exhibitors and journalists
The impact of the Westminster Kennel Club’s Annual All Breed Dog Show is
felt worldwide and has been for its entire 132 years of existence.* In the 100 years that Best In Show has been awarded, 43 times it has
gone to a foreign-bred dog (4 of the last 12).* Televised since 1948, Westminster is the only dog show in the world
that televises its groups and Best In Show live (Crufts televises its Best
In Show live), and Westminster is the only dog show televised live in this
country.* 600 credentials are issued to journalists representing some 20
countries.* On our Web site, 1.5 million streams of breed judging highlights are
viewed by people from about 140 countries.* Our sold out Madison Square Garden includes spectators from all over
the world and our entry includes exhibits from all over the world. This year we are expanding our coverage on our Web site and we are looking
for foreign exhibitors, foreign visitors and foreign media people who can be
interviewed on camera and give quick reports in their native language for
our Web site visitors who log in from around the world. If you would like to be part of this, or if you know of someone who might be
interested, please reply privately to the email address below. Japanese,
Russian, and Spanish are our priorities, but we will welcome any and all
Westminster fans and attendees from around the world. And no offense, we
would like to include someone who speaks UK English, as well!David Frei
